October

Happy Fall! We have had a wonderful month with our precious little boy! Being a parent is such a blessing and Gabe and I are enjoying every minute of it. Just simply watching Quinn bounce around and be silly gives us such pleasure! He is learning how to communicate and express himself so well and he is becoming this very independent big boy who doesn't always want his Mama kissing on him! Although that never stops me! We also had Quinn's 18 month check-up where we received an A+! We praise God for blessing us with such a healthy, happy and active little toddler. Here is Mr. Quinn and 18 months:

Weight: 22 lbs. 10 ounces (12th percentile)
Head: 18 1/4 inches (13th percentile)
Length: 32 1/2 inches (55th percentile)

We made a trip up to the pumpkin patch with Payton and Triston and Quinn's best buddies, Luke and Grace. Quinn was not in the best of moods so the pictures are not fantastic but you can see the many moods of my sweet little one!

Payton and Triston were such a help to get the babies to look at us for the pictures

Quinn had wonderful 2nd Halloween as the cutest pumpkin ever! We had some friends over for Chili then we all headed out for a little trick-or-treating. Gabe and I were so tickled watching Quinn run from house to house with such excitement!! He really wasn't in love with the whole costume get up so I didn't think we were going to last very long but after the first house he got the hang of it and was unstoppable. He totally loved the fact that he could knock on someones door and they would give him goodies!

He's a Star!

You have got to make a trip to the nearest FedEx Kinkos so you can see Quinn in their window!! You have to look closely but depending in the size of the store he will either be on a Christmas card or on a coffee mug on a poster in the window. Then once you go in they should have a holiday setup and they will have a flip catalog and a take home catalog that he is all over! If don't see any catalogs just ask and they should have some to give you. Mom, Susan and I have been to pretty much every store in the metroplex because we are so stinking excited! Happy Holidays!!!

If you look really closely above Quinn's head you can see him on the Christmas Card!

We stopped by the store in Frisco after church to get Quinn's picture by his poster but the glare was horrible. He thought it was pretty funny to see himself!

September

We have had such a fun month with Quinn. Of course he is getting to be such a big boy these days! I don't want to get ahead of myself but I think we have passed the hitting stage. Well at least this round of it. I am sure it will rear its ugly head sometime in his future but hopefully not anytime soon. Quinn is all kisses lately. He loves to give kisses and even eskimo kisses and we love getting them! Lately he has been talking so much... that is when I can get the pacie out! He is even saying my favorite word... please! I say please to Quinn probably 88 times a day hoping he will pick it up and then the other day out of the blue... Quinn said pleess! Sounded like he was doing the motorboat.... I just about cried!
We had a wonderful long Labor day weekend. Gabe had a four day weekend so we just hung around and got some quality play time with Quinn! This chair is Quinn's favorite thing to play with lately. It was my great grandmother Gammie's, and then Grandmama's and then she had it for her kids (my dad) and then it came to me when I was a little girl. Grandmama (G.G.) says it must have a special something about it that little ones love and that is so true because Quinn drags it all over the house, inside and out!

Quinn hangin with Miss Drew!

Emma turned 3 on the 14th. Her party was postponed due to Ike but we all celebrated together at Chuck E Cheese and then at her party the next weekend. Quinn loves spending time with his sweet cousin Emma. Happy Birthday!

Mimi was so cute in Abby's necklace!

I am telling you...this child loves his pacies! Instead of weaning off of the pacie he has decided that he enjoys two instead of just one!

Balloon Festival

Friday night we went to the 28th annual Plano Balloon Festival with Tia, Uncle Jay, Auntie Steph and Emma. We had so much fun and Tia took so many great pictures that I can't wait to share them. We arrived just in time to see the first balloon launching. The weather couldn't have been better and Tia already had a great spot staked out so we spread out our quilt and enjoyed the show. Quinn loved watching the balloons take off and disappear in the sky. After the launch was over they had this hilarious Elvis impersonator, Kraig Parker. The kids loved the music and danced and played in the grass until the sun set and Quinn was up well past bed time. I haven't been to this festival since I was young but we will definitely be back next year... another example of why things are so much more fun with a toddler!

Thanks Tia for getting so many great picture of Quinn!
